Phase Two: Differentiation
All students have unique educational needs. Some are common and may be addressed by the teacher and the parents through differentiated instruction, and a cooperative plan of action.
A fully developed and comprehensive system of differentiation in a classroom will involve the following for students;
-Content: Relevant and engaging learning opportunities, individual learning goals, and integrating student choice and interest.
-Process: Multiple ways to interact with content, group or individual work, open ended tasks.
-Product: Give students multiple options to demonstrate their understanding, using rubrics that cover a wide range of knowledge, skills, and strategies.
-Learning Environment: Creating a respectful and nourishing physical learning environment that emphasizes students strengths and interests.
