Background
2005-2006 7 day semi-weighed (some food eaten outside home) and looked at lifestyle, PA, eating behaviour of teen and parents

Consumed by all teens avg 85 g/day
57 g/day white bread and 18g/day wholemeal bread
Cereal
31 g/day RTE bfast cereals (67% consumers)
19 g/day hot oats cereal like porridge (17% consumers)

Approx. 2.6 servings/day (rec 5-7 servings)
Meat
Consumed by almost all teens
More processed than fresh
60g/day processed vs 44g/day fresh meat

Beverages
One glass of milk per day mostly whole fat (should be low fat) 10% had low fat milk
Low water intake i.e. 400g/day rec is 2L (regulates BP, kidney function etc)
More sugar-sweetened soft drinks than no added sugar
