MANAGEMENT BY OBJECTIVES
WITH THE END IN MIND
The objectives are the most important and not the means to achieve it.
Peter Drucker theory
KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
Anything we want to achieve or obtain is a goal.
An ideal goal
Who is responsible for its compliance
What to do, when and how
Reflect exactly what the expected result is
Set it with a very clear or precise scale
Establish the measurement formula to evaluate the degree of achievement of the objective.
NORTHWARD
Tasks
Make a list of all the things that can be done
The group
Each member must be in charge of certain tasks in particular.
The resources
Time: By when each task has to be done
Money: How much money is available for each task
Physical resources: What equipment and materials are available for each task
Member Participation
Involve team members in deciding on the objectives to be achieved
GUARANTEEING THE OBJECTIVE
Control
Verify that things are as they should be or how we want them to be
A well-defined goal is a description of the "desired"
Controlling makes us know whether or not we are achieving the objective
Compare the results
Compare the actual results with the results you wanted to have
To take action
If things are going better than expected or if things are going wrong, take action
