Listen and empathize. Welcome your child when they comes to share their feelings about anything to you. Hear them, make them feel they are understood and reassure them that you are there to help them.
Eat meals together. Eating together as a family can often lead to great conversation and bonding time with your child.
Give them attention. Always give them time and attention. Whether they are playing with their toys, watching television or enjoying their snacks, take time to sit with them. Simply talk to them, play with them, engage with them and give them undivided attention.
Develop traditions and rituals. Creating rituals and traditions increases a child’s feeling of security.

Validate children's feelings and be open to discuss it with them. Hear them out and make them feel they are understood.
