Nowadays there are countries that in the Middle Ages didn't exist
European monarch take some measures:
They formed powerful armies, which they used to defeat the nobles who confronted them
They prohibited the nobles from forming their own armies
Created a diplomatic body to establish alliances with other states or kingdoms.
They strengthened bureaucracy who supervised the kingdom's affairs
The monarchs were able to maintain effective control of their possessions
They centralised power by creating new institutions to serve them
The power of the centralised institutions was gradually increased
The autonomy of the feudal lords and special legislations
Established a court for these new institutions to function well
These became the capital of their kingdom
Objectives of monarchs:
To consolidate their authority
Control the power of the nobility
Administrate the kingdom's resources more effectively
Maintain a strong position of power in relation to other monarchs
New political organisation
The feudal monarchy of the Middle Ages became a powerful authoritarian monarchy

Russian
Italy and Germany remained divided into small states
They were areas of great economic and strategic importance
The became the scene of numerous wars
Increase in agricultural, artisanal production and commercial profits
growth
in wealth and proceeds from taxes
Consequence:
Monarchs had more resources so they became more powerful and were able to reform the existing institutions and create new ones
