Governer
A governer was a person who represented the king in New France. They Would have control over their military. Also would look after the defence of the colony.
Intendant
An intendant is a chief administrator of the colony. His job was to keep the colony in order. He would also try to look for advantages to make more profit for the colony
Bishop Of Quebec
A Bishop of Quebec is someone who represented the Catholic Church. They would give spiritual and moral guidence and founded hostpitals and schools.

Seigneurs
The Seigneurs owned the Seigneuries that the habitants live on. They are considered "landlords". Most Seigneurs are men from noble families.
Fur Traders
Coureur de Bois
The phrase Coureur de Bois means, "runner of the woods". Where it cam from was when some people in New France participated in the Fur Trade by running into the forest to trade with First Nations. The runners (coureur translated) worked fot themselves.
Merchants
Merchants where known as blacksmiths, shoe makers, masons and etc. Several merchants made their living in the fur trade. The merchants shipped items from France so that they could trade with the Innu.
Voyageurs
The word "Voyageurs means traveller. Voyageurs were people from New France. They travelled between the fur merchants of Montreal and the furtrades of the Great Lakes.

Soldiers
Soldiers came to New France to defend the colony against the Haudenosaunee and against the British. The wanted to have military people to stay in New France, so he gave Seingeuries to the officers.
