Rocket did barrel rolls during flight - Coggle Diagram
Rocket did barrel rolls during flight
Gust of wind
Bad weather
Small launch window
Launched during winter
Fins glued on an angle
Had to remake fins several times which introduced more room for error
Kept breaking while handling the rocket
Broke when we dropped the rocket
Not clamped while drying
Forgot to clamp them
Since we had to remake fins we glued some individually and clamping them would not be possible due to the other fins getting in the way
Fins not the same shape
Not cut out properly
Some fins were cut bigger because of human error
When we remade fins we lost the template and had to trace fins that were on the rocket
Uneven Airfoil
Sanded the fins with slightly different pressure
Since we remade fins we forgot how much we sanded each side of the fins to create the airfoil so we just tried to make it look similar to the fins on the rocket
Slightly unstable rocket
Shift in center of mass
Made a larger parachute
used epoxy for the coupler hook
Uneven drag
Fins being different lengths produced uneven drag on rocket
Small separation between body tubes could lead to uneven drag
Nose cone was not a proper point
Had to sand nose cone which could lead to the point being off center
Since there was not enough space for the parachute, the two body tubes of the rocket were a bit separated which could have made the rocket bent instead of it being straight
