how does latitude affect climate and what is latitude?

Releif

how Relief affects the climate.

elevation

bodies of water

Ocean currents

Relief is The difference between somethings highest and lowest elevations Relief affects the climate because Temperature decreases at higher elevation and warms up to Lower Elevation.

How does elevation affect climate?

Elevation is when a cloud has to go over a big mountain but it is too heavy to go over it, so it empty's all of its precipitation which freezes into snow which makes the temperature cooler.

The climate impact that elevation has on the earth is that it makes it cooler and more precipitation.

Closer to the equator is very warm.

Further away from the equator is colder on the poles.

Different locations are warmer or colder based on where they are on the latitude scale.

When somewhere is close to the equator it is very warm all year around.

When somewhere is further from the equator it is cold except for when it has little blips of warmth in the summer.

O latitude is as close to the equator as you can get so it is the warmest.

90 latitude is the furthest away from the equator so it is the coldest.

How does air masses affect climate?

All Warm air comes from the equator

All Cold Air comes from the poles.

All gets mixed up because the earth is spinning

Everyday cold and warm air meet in the battle of the AIR MASSES!!!!!!!!!!!

When cold and warm air meet, Warm air rises and meets cold air and form clouds. And when the cloud gets too heavy with precipitation it empty's and that is when it rains.

colder more slowly around water and it also gets warmer more slowly than land around water. Causing the temperature to be different then on land because it has changed due to the temperature slower.
