Latitude affects the temperature of things. The lower latitude you have, the higher your temperature as you're close to the equator. The higher the latitude, the colder you are as you are closer to the poles. Your Latitude determines how much direct energy you get from the Sun. The Equator gets the most direct sunlight making it the hottest, whereas the poles get indirect sunlight, making them cold. For example, living in one of the poles would be extremely cold, but, living on the equator, you would be extremely hot.
