- - - - Shock hazard is related to the amount of the current flow, which depending on the voltage level, and can be lethal. In the string inverter configuration, the DC voltage can be as high as 600VDC, creating a hazardous system voltage [29]. On the other hand, the DC voltage level in the microinverter configuration is limited to the output of the PV module, which could be as high as 40VDC.
    - - Arc faults can be divided into AC and DC arc faults based on the electrical connection. However, AC connections are less likely to sustain arcs since the current flows through zero twice per grid cycle [29].
