Fur traders
Coureur de Bois
It used to be fine to independently work for themselves but after, it became illegal to try and independently work.
Even though trading with the First Nations independently was illegal, it didn't stop the Coureur de Bois, as they traded there furs wherever they could, sometimes, even in British colonies.
"Runner of the woods." Some habitants who didn't want to grow the farm ran in to woods so that they can trade with the First Nations to live. Which meant that they worked for themselves.
Voyageurs
A Voyageur was a traveller. They were many men that came from New France who travelled for fur merchants in Montréal.
Sometimes even in the Great Lake fur trade posts. If they were able too, they would even go farther west.
Merchants
Most merchants would make life on the fur trade, goods from France were what they would trade with the Innu, Ouendat, and Anishinabe.
They would buy furs that were from the Coureur de Bois for extra money income. They would then import the furs and goods back to France for where France would sell them for a profit, or as they hoped.
Lots's of business grew in Quebec, Montreal, and Trois-Rivières. Some settlements became more of a thing so some people started making shops which were merchants for a better way of life.
Soldiers
The King wanted more military men so he told seigneuries which encouraged their soldiers to come live on their land.The more people they got means that the more protection they get back.
Many people in New France changed their careers as military they all needed a way to make a way for them to live. That can get more military service to protect the country.
Under Frontenac, soldiers came to New France to defend the colony against the Haudenosaunee and against the British.
Farmers
Seigneurs
They were often land granted by the King of New France and was a place to live and to build crops to let them make their own basic needs.
It was helpful as it was easy to grow crops on and build houses on but required lot's of care, so the Seigneuries will often find habitants who wanted the job to do it for them.
Seigneurs are large plots of land that are owned by either landlords or they are owned by seigneurs. They are essential to Farmers who need the big land to grow stuff for their owners and grow crops and build houses.
Habitants
Most people in New France needed someone to clear the land for them so they will usually call habitants to do that for them. They will also be asked to build houses and grow crops.
Some say they were helpful to the Seigneuries as they were able to grow and build things for there basic needs, they were also able to live on that property as long as they followed the Seigneuries rules.
Habitants were mostly farmers who lived on seigneuries. They were mostly the lowly slaves that grew food for the seigneurs and lived on there property.

Had to be able to keep things organized or it an rupture on how some people needed to survive on their basic needs
The intendants had to keep the colonies in good working order so they did not have to depend on France to supply to them for there basic needs.

Bishop of Quebec
Provided many things like spiritual and moral ways of leading people, they created schools and hospitals with orphanages for people who needed them.
They have influenced lot's of people so the church stayed strong during its days. The Church was also able to have a strong society even when New France turned in to a British society in 1763. Most of the peoples reputation depended on the Church.
They who represented the Catholic Church, the Church played a big role in the colony in France just like how it does in New France.
Governor
The Governor, was represented as King, they were able to control the military and looked after the defence on the colonies. They had to be able to do that this so that they can survive without depending too much on France so they can claim more land.
Also dealt with "external relations," like trades with the First Nations. Their fur trade was good which helped them get the stuf they needed to also survive.
