That the Participant is able to perform parallel readings when constructing categories within an ethnographic investigation.
Parallel Readings
Sometimes these adopt the formulation of cultural symbols normally encoded in native terms that are discovered in field work and decoded in analysis.
That the participant is capable of constructing a diagnostic test to situationally characterize the problematic field of study capable of being solved and / or transformed.
Diagnostic tests
The main emphasis has been placed on discovery rather than theory testing, but this does not include that the analysis is both guided by data collection and guides such collection.
That the Participant is able to develop initial visions of solution to problems dealt with in an ethnographic investigation.
