Disadvantages
Job site may be bodily restricted, noisy and other distraction that could slow down the learning
Usage of expensive equipment during training may costly damages or may cause production schedule to fall behind
OJT while customers are around may cause problem to them and decrease the quality of services for the time being
OJT which involves heavy equipment such as chemical that are hazardous to men may endanger people who are working closely to these employees
Trainee may have difficulty to differentiate who are their trainer/supervisors
Not suitable for lager group
Difficult to standardize the content of training
Advantages of OJT
Can be modified to the experiences and talents of trainee
Has actual tools and equipment for trainees to practise their skills
Both trainer and trainees are on the job site

Trainees must have strong urge to learn on their own
costly and it takes longer time for trainees to develop their skillsm knowledge and attitutude
