MODULE 1: MATTER AND ITS VARIOUS FORMS
States of Matter
is a distinct form which a matter can take in.
Solid
The most observable trait that any solid matter is that they have a definite shape and volume.
Liquid
They take the form of the container they're in. Their volume is indefinite; it usually depends on the constant temperature and pressure.
Gas
The space in between the particles are big. Gas molecules are very weak and has no bonds at all. They move fast and freely. Instead of adapting the shape of their container; gas can even expand the size of the container itself.
Plasma
The most observable trait that this state has is it's ability to conduct electricity. This matter also doesn't have a definite shape and volume.
Changes in State of Matter
It is a distinct change that one can observe in a state of matter.
Melting
Solid - liquid
Freezing
Liquid - Solid
Sublimation
Solid - Gas
Deposition

Separation and Purification
Its describe as the separation in a substance that will divide it into components and purge the impurities.
