Group 13: Everything we need to know about Malaysia Inspection Bodies Accreditation Schemes (MIBAS)

Inspection = examination of a product, process or service, or installation or their design and determination of its conformity with specific requirement or on the basis of professional judgement judgement with general requirements.

Surveillance and re-assessment of accredited inspection bodies of the MIBAS scheme at a defined interval of every eleven (11) months and re-assessment every three (3) year interval

If no accredition within 2 years from the date of acceptance of application, application will considered lapsed.

Inspection bodies are accredited based on MS ISO/IEC 17020: 2012 "General Requirement for the Operation of Various Types of Bodies Performing Inspection" and specific requirements are used in assessment and accreditation.
