what is voter apathy this is where there is a lack of interest in voting not getting enough votes this is very bad as voting is needed to see what peoples opinions are

1918 women over 30 could vote and men over 21 could vote
1928 women over 21 could vote
1970 women over 18 could vote and men over the age of 18
in 2014 16+ could now vote (only in Scotland)
reasons for lowering the voting age to 16 in england
positive experience in Scotland with 16 year old's voting
young people should have a say in matters as there are matters that directly affect them such as fees
lowering the limit will encourage young people to help get them interest them in the political system
reasons against lowering the voting age
16 year old's haven't had the experience of owning a home employment taxes
as the system is people age 18-24 have the lowest vote turnout so 16 year old's are likely not to be very interested in it either
