27.3 Fascism Rises In Europe
Tate M - Fascism's Rise in Italy
The concept of Fascism surprisingly does not have a clear cut program or way that things are meant to be done. Yet there are several ideas that these fascist leaders shared.
This includes that a country must be very nationalistic and be loyal to the state. This also included that a nation must struggle to be successful, and that peaceful states are doomed to be conquered. The people of these states must be loyal to an authoritarian leader which brought order to the state. The Fascist parties are known for wearing special uniforms, having salutes, and holding mass rallies.
When comparing Fascism to communism one might find several similarities. An example of this is that both parties have an absolute ruler, and only one political party that is allowed to rule which eliminates competition. Along with this both denied individual rights, and said the state was supreme to the people. Essentially meaning they are the opposite of democracy.
Yet unlike communism Fascist did not seek a stateless society. They instead believed that each class had a special purpose within society. The high ranking classes were aristocrats, industrialist, and war veterans, while lower classes consisted of other people.
Mussolini Takes Control
One of the main reasons in which Fascism was able to appear in Italy was due to the disappointment to gain any new territories during the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. Inflation, and unemployment also contributed to Italy leaving their democratic ways behind.
This is when news paper editor, and politician Benito Mussolini promised citizens that he could revive its economy, and armed forces. He also promised strong leadership, and founded the Italian Fascist party in 1919.
Yet once he took power the economy only worsened and this is when Benito began to pray on the fear of industrial workers. The in October 1922 30,000 fascist marched to Rome and demanded that Benito be named ruler.

IL Duce's Leadership
Mussolini was now the Ill Deuce of Italy, which essentially means leader. Some of his first acts were to outlaw democracy, and all other political parties. He used terror and violence to enforce this.
He also had secret police jail any competition, and made sure all radios played only Fascist propaganda. He tried to gain control through allying with large land owners, and industrialist yet he would never gain the level of control which Stalin, and Hitler possessed in their countries.
Q- Does the Fascist or Communist party seem to be more concerned with the welfare of its people.
A- I believe that while both parties do not hold much regards for their citizens quality of life, that overall the Communist part acted worse when it came to their own people. I think this because under Stalin rule he killed millions more than what was killed by fascist, and in China even more were killed. While overall I feel that the Fascist party is more cruel overall considering what it did to people during WWII. Yet the communist party just seemed to have less regards for its own citizens using them as a disposable good.

Concept= Nationalism. Nationalism is a very important concept in this section mainly due to its effect on the people. This is because under fascist rule citizens must participate in large rallies, and heavily support their country and be loyal to its leader. Overall this changed the way people lived in fascist states.
Concept= Government Systems. The concept of Gov. Systems is very important in this unit due to the effect it had on the countries it resided in. This is because it took many of peoples rights and forced them to live very nationalistic lives.

That the Nazis have so much power that they took out all out on the Jews and also shows that if you fight back or anything the Nazis will make your life change big time so there is no forgetting it.
The Fuhrer is supreme
Hitler wanted full control over everything, not just economic and political power. With him controlling everything he turns the radio, literature, painting, and films into tools to help control the thoughts of the people of what they think of him.
Books that what were not about the nazi's were burning in a big fire, churches were banned from being up and schoolchildren had to join either Hitler youth for boys or the league for German girls.
Hitler thought failer was good to bring victory to the strong but used his force to support his use of brute force.
change for the reason that Hitler is changing the lives of the Jews for ever and that they wouldn't be able to forget that time period that they almost all went missing from Equrope
Hitler makes war on the Jews
The Nazis used the Jews for many different thing's like scrap goats and it created a wave of anti-Semitism across Germany. The Nazis took all of the Jews right's away, which made them useless, so the Nazis took control and attacked majority of Jews in their houses and destroyed many Jewish owned businesses. This rampage called Kristallnating ( night of the broken glass) witch started the progress of the nazis taking out all the Jews.
Hitlers main plane was to eliminate and exterminate the jewish population in Europe so no Jews were left but later on was known as the Holocaust. Hilter was able to get 6 million Jews perished during this time period.
Power for the concept for the reasoning that Hitler in this time period just wanted power and control of the Germany population and what is going in and out for news and everything
religion because he changed peoples religion to nothing cause he blocked or banned all religion tyoe of things for the control over them
