Cranial nerves: There are 12 pairs of cranial nerves. Their are types of cranial nerves one is the I olfactory which is sensory and it's function is to conduct impulses associated with sense of smell. The II optic nerve which is sensory and its function is to conduct impulses associated with sense of vision. The III oculomotor is primarily motor and its function is to impulse raise eyelids, move eyes, adjust amount of light entering into the eyes. The IV Trochlear is primarily motor its function is to impulse muscle to move eyes, condition of muscle. The V Trigeminal is mixed. The Ophthalmic division its function is to impulse the eyes, tear glands, scalp, forehead, and the upper lips. The maxillary division function is to conduct impulses upper teeth, upper gum, upper lip, and skin in face. The mandibular division function is to impulse from the skin of jaw, lower teeth, lower gum, lower lip. The VI abducens is primarily motor and its function is conduct associated with condition of muscles.
