        James Dobson, Focus on the Family - extremely homophobic believe homosexuality can be ‘fixed’ & destroying the idea of the family
        
        Love won out - came out of focus on the family, objective was to help people overcome unwanted same sex attraction believing they can be overcome
      - Liberal Protestants focus less on extremism of Westbrook Baptist Church & on the effect that conservative Christians beliefs can have on gay sons & daughters
      - Evangelicals say it’s a sin cause if biblical scripture
      - Catholics say it’s a sin cause of mainly NML as well as biblical scripture
      - Church of England is broadly divided from very conservative to liberal but can’t get legally married in the Church but can perform a blessing ceremony that looks like a wedding

      - Sex can have very little to do with marriage

      - It cannot be wrong as it is wrong to condemn people for doing the most loving thing - being in love.

        Love just is the same as justice, so showing justice in society, giving to each person what is owed to them

        SE should not reject traditional moral principles outright - but only reject them ‘depending on the situation’
      - Love is not the same as justice
        
        We all deserve justice, but love is an undeserved gift & blessing, especially God’s. Society needs justice - ‘distributing’ agape if love ins nonsense - better to think in terms of human rights or NL
      - What does agapeic love mean?
        
        Different people can have different & inconsistent interpretations of what being loving means, even at different times - fluid & empty notion that cannot establish any king of morality
        
        SE advocates agapeic love as doing to not a way of being agapeic as a virtue - love as a verb not a noun - more concerned with he law than morality?
      - SE isn't Christian
        
        Ignores the power of God’s grace that helps people to keep God’s commandments, even when it seems impossible
        
        It doesn’t see God’s laws as good - as the wisest guidance of a good God for love in personal relationships
        
        It doesn’t advocate virtue: Jesus commanded us to love as God loves: this might be better served by advocating celibacy (RC Church) - renouncing the self-satisfaction of erotic extra-marital relationships, not promoting homosexuality

      - Is unnatural, if God wants you to have children hell give you children , if he doesn’t he wont. But you can adopt instead - fulfils PP of education children
      - Consider egg & sperm donation adultery, a sin.
