1. REASONS FOR GROUP PERFORMANCE
群体表现的原因
i. The quality of an individual trainee’s work is often improved by cooperative work个体学员的工作质量往往通过合作工作得到提高
ii. Leadership abilities are acquired through working with others to attain worthwhile group goals
领导能力是通过与他人合作实现有价值的团队目标而获得的
iii. Group learninglearning that involves pooling the knowledge and experience of individuals is often longer lasting than individual
涉及汇集个人知识和经验的集体学习通常比个人学习更持久
iv. The recognition given to an individual trainee by his peers in the group is often more meaningful to him than that given by the instructor alone.

v. The learner may more readily accept ideas formed by group activity than those given by a person in authority.

4. PANEL DISCUSSION
小组讨论
The rules and procedure for panel discussion are basically the same with two major exceptions:-

i. The chairman or moderator of the discussion is a trainee, not the instructor.

ii. Participants in the discussion are the panel members only, not the entire class.

i. Selecting the subject matter for discussion.

ii. Selecting the chairman and members for the panel.

iii. Motivating and guiding the panel members to study thoroughly and prepare properly for the discussion.
