Housing issue - Coggle Diagram
Housing issue
Effects
-
Increase in homelessness -homelessness leads to a lot more issues such as - no food, no shelter, no job, no address, no bank account etc.
Unable to pay electricity - no electricity may not be able to cook, wont be able to do certain things, foods in the freezer would defrost less food, etc.
Hard to find a home - hard to find a home in a area that suits you and is affordable and even if you do find a house there is a possibility so did someone else and only one can get the house and the landlord may take the person who's more "well off"
-
People left in unhygienic situations - homelessness, overcrowded house, houses that need refurbishing/working on etc.
Solutions
-
-
-
focusing on affordable homes rather than luxury homes. - More houses that people on low income can afford
-
Reduce stigma on rural areas being "bad" and make it more attractive. - give people more reasons to move towards or in these rural areas.
causes
More people live alone - because more people live alone there are less opportunities as more people are trying to get their own homes
Growth of population - the growth of population is very large from the last few decades and this number is only going to keep getting bigger due to more births per year etc.
Increased prices to buy land - this means personal investors struggle to be able to buy an area of land to be able to build a house to either rent out or to live in there themselves
-
Unaffordable houses - By the houses being unaffordable people are struggling to buy a home because of their money situation
unavailable areas to build - land limitations, environmental issues, political problem such as not knowing where they can build due to lack of land etc.
