Islam teaches divorce should only happen as a last resort, or if you are in an abusive relationship.
Husband in Islam must announce intention to divorce wife 3 times and say "I divorce you" - Iddah occurs (3 month waiting period) Muslims hope it leads to reconciliation.
"I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for martial unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery"
