- - - - "Lynda Schumacher attended Northwestern Michigan College for Commercial Art and Siena Heights University and Eastern Michigan University for Social Work and Psychology. Before returning to her art nearly four years ago, she had a twenty-year career as a substance dependency and mental health therapist. Lynda's art has been exhibited in a number of statewide, national, and international exhibitions since then, and she was a finalist in the American Artist Drawing Magazine's annual cover competition in 2008."
  - - - Markers are used by Stephen Gardner because of their portability and ease of usage in public. Because markers are easy to switch out colours and setup time is minimal, street sketching is one of the most suited uses for them. Markers require little upkeep and are simple to locate. Gardner uses geometric lines to create texture. Some elements of the urban sketch are rushed in a street sketching style, while others are meticulously detailed.
