strengthened over time after she talked with family memebers of elizabethh who beleived robert was guilty and saw a picutre of him in the toronto sun claiming he was a suspect.

eyewitness evidence deriveed from hypnosis is conterversial tecgniquie that can affect memory in unpredictable ways
supreme court of canada in a case called R v Trochym (2007) sates that eyewitness testimony derived from hypnosis would generally not be admissible in court
her evidence suggested that Robert was guilty, however his allibi suggests his innocents. Police seemed to have weight the incrimnating evidence as more reliable than the exnoerating evidence

Jury beleived eyewitnesses testimony even though realibalbity issues.... judge left out important cautionary statements about lack of reliability in the prosecutions witnesses
faulty line up
shown several photos at once instead of one at a tine... witness may choose person in line up who has the best fit.... marianne stated that she had picked the picture out of process of elimanation
officer knew suspect was in line up + told her that he was in the line up before she selected
