They are a record of adapted/modified aspects of an educational programme
They focus on the priority learning needs of the student
Used as written plans to support students with SEN
They ensure that each student has equal opportunities
Who creates an IEP?
The parents or guardians of the student
At least one special education teacher or provider of the student
The student, if appropriate, depending on their age and level of understanding.
At least one regular education teacher of the student
