At the age of eight, he was sent to live at his maternal grandmother's house and enrolled in the Latin School of Basel (around 1715 to 1720).

At a young age, Euler received schooling in mathematics from his father ("Paul Euler"), who had taken courses from Jacob Bernoulli.

In 1720, at 13 years old, Euler enrolled at the University of Basel.
He earned his Master's Degree in Mathematics in 1723 and his doctorate in Philosophy in 1726.
He studied until 1726.

In 1723, Euler receivd a Master of Philosophy with a thesis that compared the philosophies of René Descartes and Isaac Newton.
After that, he enrolled in the Theological Faculty of the University of Basel.

At 20 years old, he taught at the Imperial Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg from 1727 to 1741. He was a professor of Physics during that time.

During 1741 to 1766, He was invited by Frederick the Great and became the "director of Mathematics" in "The Berlin Academy of Sciences".

In 1766, he went back to the Imperial Academy of Sciences. He became a professor of Mathematics there.
At 1783, He died from "Brain Hemorrhage" at his home in St. Petersburg. He was working on a problem about the orbit of Uranus until the day of his death.
