Analysis and Strategy
Introduction
Organization is a continuous process that consists of distributing tasks, resources, authority, and responsibility.
The most visible result of the organization process is the structure of a company and it must follow its strategy. Whatever you want to achieve, your structure should allow you to do it.
The definition of goals and strategies is a matter of planning. For this reason, the first phase of the administration cycle is Planning.
The organization chart where all the positions or departments are shown is the representation of the company structure.
Where we are?
To go somewhere, we first need to know where we are. That way we can decide which path is best for us and what we will need to get there. When establishing a place for our company to take it, we need to know where it is.
By answering the following and other questions, we will be able to know where we are: name, location, history, financial results, the company's competition, etc.
Where do we want to go?
Now that we are clear about our starting point, it is time to decide where we want to go. We can stay right where we are, go backwards or forwards.
This part is not difficult, it is the most attractive. We only imagine how we would be better, how we want to be, where we want to be.
Planning, elegant as it may seem, is actually a dream process. When planning our life or that of our company, when planning our career or our company's products, what we do is dream.
How did we get there?
In this part we already have defined where we are (A) and where we are going (B). Now we have to define how we got there (from point A to point B)
When we talk about strategy, tactics or plan, we refer to that line that joins point A with point B.
Tasks
-
Fixed Tasks, Functions and Positions
Fixed Tasks
Fixed tasks are specific things that need to be done. They are usually defined in a document known as a job description.

Team Tasks
When we work in a team we have other people with whom we will collaborate to carry out the tasks. The list of tasks for which our team is responsible can and should be divided among the team members.
When working in a team it is important to keep in mind the tasks of the group. All its members are actually responsible for them, because they are all part of the team.
Task Specification
Tasks must be well specified to be fully accomplished. People need to know what is expected of them in order to deliver.
A recommended outline for specifying a task to an employee should include the name of the tasks, the objective, the date, and add additional details.
Resources
What are Resources?
-
The resource types includes: time, financial resources, physical resources amd talent
Necessary resources
To know what resources we need, we rely on the list of tasks to be done. Each task can be considered as a process, and therefore needs resources in order to exist.
Available resources
It is one thing to list all the resources that are needed, but quite another to open your eyes and see the resources that you actually have. The needs are unlimited but the resources are not.
If you are going to carry out a task, no matter how much you need this or that resource, you have to adapt to what you have. We cannot invent them. If you don't have it, then you don't have it, but we can't be paralyzed by it either. In that case, the task will have to be modified or the missing resources found.
