Dunking trial- the suspected witch would be dunked into cold water and if they floated they were a witch, but if they sunk they would be innocent and probably die drowning
Bodkin trial- bodkin or sharp weapon like a dagger would be stabbed into the suspected witch's 'devils mark' (mole or spot) and if they person felt pain or started bleeding they were innocent whereas, if you didn't then you were a witch
