Treaty of Portsmouth
- US helped negotiations between Russia and Japan
- All troops leave Manchuria
- Japan can lease Liaodong and Port Arthur from China, and Southern Manchurian railway
- Recognized Japan's claims on Korea
Japan not satisfied and felt they deserved:
- War indemnity from Russia to pay for the war
- All of Sakhalin
- Complete control instead of lease
