The Five Teaching Styles and How I Can Make Them Fit My Auditory Learning Style
Authority
Big on lectures
Big on writing information and talking
I would listen and write notes as an Auditory learner there's not much I would change to make it fit other than write notes and meet with my teacher if i feel I am missing anything
Demonstrator
Big on still lecturing
mainly showing but no student participation,
Big on handouts and powerpoints
This is still okay I'm stilling getting information by listening but I am also getting handouts and presentations so if i have trouble with anything I would do the handouts and meet with my teacher and have him explain rather than show me.
Facilitator
Big on discussion groups
Great for Auditory learners
Big on prompts and questions
This is perfect for my learning style cause all I'm doing is listening to people's answers to questions and get a bunch of information auditorily. I would just make sure to write notes down still.
Delegator
student run projects
Teaching takes a backseat to students teaching each other
I still really wouldn't have to make this teaching style fit my learning style. I am still facilitating group discussions and and I love creating things and using my hands
Hybrid
Multiple teaching styles
provides opportunities for all students to learn according to their learning style
I technically benefit from all styles of learning but I'm more auditory I wouldn't have any issues with the format shifts.
