Constant values: is data that is entered directly into a cell. It can be a number, a date or time, or a text.
Numbers: To enter numbers you can include the characters 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and the special signs + - ( ) / % E e . Pts. The (+) signs in front of numbers are ignored, and to enter a negative number it must be preceded by the (-) sign.
Date or Time: To enter a date or time, just type it the way you want it to appear. Like numbers (since they really are numbers), dates and times also appear aligned to the right in the cell.
Text: To enter text as a constant, you select a cell and type the text. The text can contain letters, digits and other special characters that can be reproduced on the printer. A cell can contain up to 16,000 characters of text.
Formulas: A sequence consisting of: constant values, references to other cells, names, functions, or operators. A formula is a basic technique for data analysis. Various operations can be performed on spreadsheet data such as *,+,-,Sen, Cos, etc.
