An astronomer named Aristarchus of Somos had 2 scientific conclusions. The first is that he discovered that the sun is 300 times bigger than the earth, and the second is tha he proposed that the earth and other planets revolve around the sun ,though, no one wanted to support this theory
Another astronomer named
calculated the earths true size. Eratosthenes then calculated that the Earth is 28,000 to 29,000 miles in circumference
Alexandria's last renowned astronomer, Ptolemy, concluded that the earth at the center of the solar system, many agreed with this idea for 14 centuries

there are two major philosophies
The first kind of Philosophy is called "Stoicism", it is created by a philosopher called Zeno(335-163 B.C), this philosophy proposed people should live virtuous and live in harmony with the will of god or the natural laws. And he claim that people should ignore the disturb, such as power, wealth.
The second philosophy is called "Epicureanism", it is created by Epicurus. He proposed that the god that do not interested in human rule the universe and the only real things is your five senses perceived, and the highest pleasure is come from virtuous conduct and the absent of pain. He think the main idea of people is they should achieve the harmony of the body and mind.
