Tidal energy
Advantages
No pollution
Reliable
Renewable
Cheap to run
How it works

At high tides, we trap the water behind a dam
This water is used to generate energy
Dam
Dams can be very harmful to local environments and may cost a lot of money though
Using the water we store in the dam we can turn it into electrical energy
Dams are used to stop and store water in a large body of water
Disadvantages
Dam may cause local flooding
Costs al lot of money to build a dam
Where does it come from
We can use a dam to help
