Disability-ability awareness programs:
to improve knowledge about disability itself, to fight stigma and discrimination, to raise social awareness and provide a positive image
Children are exposed to people with disabilities through different methods.
To improve childrens' knowledge about the different types of disability.
Children's identify the abilities of people with disabilities
To understand their feelings about disability.
Chlidren are placed in situations of daily living or sport activities
To experience Paralympic sports
To use a white cane and eye shades
To use a wheelchair
Children became advocates for the rights of individuals with disabilities in school and community settings
Children without disability are committed in creating a fair and equal society for individuals with disability. They became true inclusive society members.
This is also true for children with disabilities.
Mental Health on the MOVE:
a community based PA intervention for people with severe mental disorders (SMD).
Characteristics
Promote different types of activities: individual and team sports, dance, gym and fitness activities
Improvement of physical skills but also social and psycho abilities
3 times/week (duration 50-60 min/session), moderate to vigorous intensity
