- Left people to die in Rwanda and ignored it
- They don't have the power to punish countries
- Can be slow to act (Bosnia)
- Climate change summits don't have an actual impact
Purpose:
- Intergovernmental organisation
- Maintain international peace and security
- Develop friendly relations
- Achieve national cooperation
Geneva Conventions
Purpose:
- Set of rules which dictate how people should be treated in war
- Set up in 1949
Example of Rules:
- People must be protected and treated humanely
- Forbidden to kill or injure a soldier who is surrendering

Pros
- Unrestricted travel for British people
- Rights in EU countries (Education, Healthcare etc.)
- No extra phone cost for data in EU countries
- Free access to second largest economy in the world
- Joining has shown that it grows a countries economy
Cons
- Unrestricted access of EU migrants
- British nationalism
- Can't trade with other countries without EU permission

- They stop bigger countries taking advantage of smaller ones
- WTO makes everything run smoothly

- Working conditions are poor
- They tend to prefer bigger countries

- People in poverty at a disadvantage
