The nature of one current issue for religion to which a religion seeks to respond
Globalisation
Why does it generate tension and conflict in society
Because we are constantly presented with things that will make life simpler and encourage laziness, idleness, and indifference across religions, Pope Francis feels that globalisation is developing a culture of carelessness.
Many catholic organisations and charities, such as Catholic Relief Services and Missionary of the Poor, work to address the issue of globalisation. they are non-profit organisations that work to alleviate poverty and promote social justice around the world. While they do not explicitly focus on addressing the issue of globalization, their work can indirectly contribute to mitigating some of its negative impacts.
Euthanasia
Why does it generate tension and conflict in society
Christians believe that life is a gift from God and that only God has the right to give and take away life. Therefore, intentionally ending a person's life, even to alleviate suffering, is viewed as going against God's will.
However, there are some Christian denominations and individuals who support the right to euthanasia in certain circumstances, such as when a person is suffering from a terminal illness and in severe pain. They argue that compassion and love for the suffering person can justify ending their suffering and allowing them to die with dignity.
How social impacts affect how people interact with people.
Wealth
The wealthier you are, you in most cases will be drawn away from religion because of this factor. when you come from a poorer background you turn to your faith more and pray. because of the lack of money you develop a stronger relationship with god.
Culture and background
Depending on your upbringing you may believe in different things due to the way you are brough up, for example, someone that’s brought up in a poor muslim dominated household will have different religious views to those with a rich and catholic upbrining.
