What is Reformation
was a religious revolution in the 16th century against the abuses of the Roman Catholic Church ending in the formation of Protestant Churches
The act or process of changing a religious, political, or societal institution for the better is called a reformation.
Martin Luther was not the first to start Reformation but there were earlier reformers such as John Wycliffe and Erasmus who complained about the Church before him
Erasmus made a new translation of the New testament with the Greek and Latin versions side by side .
John Calvin 1509-1564 -he was a French Lawyer and priest who was influenced by Erasmus and other Greek philosopher and he was in favour of Luther's teachings

On the other hand Calvinism
-it brought faith,education and spiritual happiness to Christians
-Calvinism showed more self-discipline than Lutherans
He ruled the city harshly
-drinking,gambling and dancing were not allowed
-wearing bright clothes was forbidden
-religious services were simple but long
He was asked to re-establish the rule of law and teach people his religion and he became the Governor of Geneva
