INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN(our theoires and models must be grounded in the actual context of the problem)
DEFINITION
As West (2018) points out instructional design is a process with some features such as:
A systematic developement of isntructional specifications using learning.
A branch of knowledge concerned with research and theory about instructional strategies and the process for developing and implementing those strategies
A science Is the science of creating detailed specifications for the development, implementation, vealuation, and maintenance of situations that ease learning.
A reality can begin at any point in the process to give a core to the process.
Reiser and Dempey cited in West (2018) defined Instructional Desing (ID) as a systematic process that is employed to develop education and training programs in a reliable and concrete way
Instructional Design is related to technology because:
is dynamic
is updated
is communicative
ID INCLUDES
MEANINGFUL PERFORMANCE
MEASURABLE OUTCOME
SELF-CORRECTION
COLLABORATIVE WORK
CONTEXT
LEARNERS' PERCEPTIONS
MATERIALS
LEARNERS' BACKGROUND
TECHNOLOGICAL AIDS

HISTORY
1920's: The motion picture as a medium of expression

1950's: Television as an instructional tool
Nowadays the process of handling th einformation cognitevely is relevant as well as the role of instructional context and the learner's perceptions and views.
