1903:Wright brothers’ first plane

During this period industrial production nearly halved and many people went into unemployment. This period of economic slowdown lasted for a decade, ending in 1939.

After being hit by two atomic bombs, Fat man and Little boy, Japan surrenders to the Allied Forces ending the second world war.
1949:Communist revolution in China
On 1 October 1949 Mao Zedong, the leader of the communist people’s liberation army created the people’s republic of China after the liberation army overthrew the government, causing China to be controlled by communism.
1950:Korean War
On 25 June 1950 North Korea invaded South Korea, this caused a three-year long war that ended due to an agreement between the two parties.

The Japanese invaded China. They were able to take control of Manchuria and turn it into a puppet state called Manchukuo.

A influenza pandemic broke out worldwide, causing millions of deaths. The pandemic appeared in waves eventually ending after the fourth wave in 1920.
Large numbers of workers and demonstrators went to the streets of Petrograd and fought with the police who tried to control the protest. This eventually caused Czar Nicholas to step down from the throne and the formation of the Soviet union.
After 4 years spent designing the plane, the Wright brothers created the Wright Flyer, the first powered plane.
