Infant and Toddler
8 Months
At around eight months of age, children easily reach for and grasp things and use eyes and hands to explore objects actively.
Activity: This activity is directed towards a 4 year old at 8 month developmental age.
The objective of this activity is for the student to look and reach for desired item. We will place a toy car and a doll at a distance that is accessible if the student reaches out to grab. The student will grab accessible object with thumb and fingertips
36 Months
At around 36 months of age, children coordinate the fine movements of the fingers, wrists, and hands to skillfully manipulate a wide range of objects and materials in intricate ways. Children often use one hand to stabilize an object while manipulating it.
Activity: Student will use thumb, index, and middle fingers to draw or write with a crayon, marker, or pencil while holding the paper in place.
18 Months
Activity: Student will be given paper and crayons. Student will hold a crayon between fingers and thumb and scribble with big arm movements. The objective is for the student to make scribble marks on the paper while holding the crayon accurately.
At around 18 months of age, children are able to hold small objects in one hand and sometimes use both hands together to manipulate objects.
Preschool

Activity:Copying Drawings. Using crayons, pencils, or markers on a large sheet of paper, play a drawing game where you follow your child’s lead by copying exactly what he draws. Next, encourage your child to copy your drawings, such as circles or straight lines.
60 Months

Activity:Drawing People Out of Shapes Activity
The child will draw shapes to draw people, and animals with teacher modeling.
Kindergarten

Choose from a range of materials and methods of traditional and contemporary artistic practices, following or breaking established conventions, to plan the making of multiple works of art and design based on a theme, idea, or concept.

Activity:Happy Sun Activity
The child will use a white 8.5x 11 background paper. They will draw a circle in the middle of the page that portrays a sun. They will use blue tissue paper squares to glue the sky background around the circle. Then they will add orange and yellow tissue paper for the sun. Next, they will add construction paper for the rays of light. Lastly add a face drawn with a black marker.
