ADHD

Down Syndrome

SLCN (Speech, language and communication needs
Total communication approach refers to bringing in the means of a more complete form of communication with students. This approach looks a the way body language as well as a wind range of different media sources can be used to engage with students.
SLCN encompasses a massive range of needs all related to a person ability to perform effective communication.
AAC- Augmentative and Alternative Communication
Hearing Impairment

ABI (acquired brain injury)
Planning is key- Plan for the students return to school, making sure that keyworker is present and sure communication with those outside school is on point.
Frequent breaks to consolidate learning and check progression.
Injury to brain sustained after death. Includes all traumatic brain injuries but can also be caused by not traumatic means such as other medical conditions, diseease etc.
