Breaking the fourth wall in immersive theatre in my perspective is breaking the boundary between the actor and the audience, and breaking their roles. From my understanding, It is taking the audience into a position where they are not watching the drama, but is taking apart inside the drama. The purpose of this is to better exchange message with the audience and tell stories.
Immersive theatre can use technology and interactive elements to encurage the audience to immerse in the scene and the production.
The existence of technology in immersive theatre can help create immersive aspects
virtual reality can also be created, it is when the audience is not actually in the scene but can experience the actions and the circumstance.
Technology can also provide props and set pieces that are interactive, as well as soundscapes also lighting/projection effects.
In addition to interactive niches and stories/plot, technology can be utilized to the most and help the actors and show to interactive with the audiences.
In an immersive theater performance, the audience have the role of interacting with the show and the actors. The audience get to change the plot of the theatre production and take a part of it.
Immersive theater is how the actor on stage and how the play connects with the audience. The audience will sometimes feel more engaged within the play and feel more like a person in the play.
Immersive theater often pays more attention on the design and often focuses more on the audience's experiences.
There are three main reasons. First of all, audience are participating inside the play which makes them feel much more engaged. Secondly, it is a very entertaining kind of play. Lastly. immersive theater gives the audience a chance to imagine about what is going to happen next and use their own imaginations.
As technology is more advanced, the use of technology in immersive theater is used more. As one of the most important new forms of live entertainment, a lot of attention is put on technology, and due to it being life, technology is used differently. Lightings and other equipments can be used more efficiently due to the increase of technology.
