Positives: income, generate national and local economy, bonds and ties with other countries / alliances; increased reputation (clearly safe enough to encourage people)

Negatives: if they just want income then they will ignore environment and get a bad international reputation - hotel chains could hold some power over government officials and could pull out and lose lots of money; cultural clash

Positives: face and name of the company, they make the most profit

Negatives: danger with expanding too far, having fallouts or setbacks and losing money - face of company so can get bad press

Positives: also get a big share, position of power: can execute decision that you think will make the most profit

Negatives: have to be aware of the political and environmental decisions - make most of the executive decisions

Positives: job security in a TNC, potential to travel and get promoted; benefits such as health care, bonuses,

Negatives: if the company goes bankrupt - they lose their jobs; anonymity - you're a nobody in a big company, you're disposable

Positives: generate local economy, opportunities and contacts with international tourists - bring business in

Negatives: ruins local heritage and culture (cultural clash), decreases the sentimental value of local areas; brings in tourism to local areas and increases pollution; drive local residents and small local hotels out; large food waste in hotels and changes local diet - imports and exports

Positives: safer as its more widely known; bigger facilities; get value for your money

Negatives: there's no personal attention as you would get with a personal/independent company

Positives: can get benefits, coupons and discounts, points and rewards, bonuses and accessible information on things in general, sometimes special treatment

Negatives: you get spam emails, will only stay loyal to these TNC - so 'perceived' lack of choice, won't go for local or not well-known companies; bigger the company = greater the risk of being hacked

Positives: job security potential to travel and get promoted; benefits such as health care, bonuses, can travel to cool places for basically free

Negatives: if the company goes bankrupt - they lose their jobs; anonymity - you're a nobody in a big company, you're disposable; may have to go to dangerous areas

Positives: get payback from the company, get free press, passive income, benefit from an influx of money

Negatives: potentially held to ransom - loyalty to certain brand OR if the company turns out to have a bad reputation you'll get bad press; conflicting sponsors - may not get along, if they pull out you lose lots of money

Negatives: any development can hurt microclimate, deforestation, increase runoff, and damage local areas - if not being sustainable = bad international reputation; protest again TNC's and social unrest

Positives: company has to be suitable for the environment and sustainable - potential education of a large number of people - country has opportunity to gain money and recognition for its wildlife and areas
