The British wanted the American goods so they forced the Americans to sell stuff like cotton, sugar and tobacco this also meant that the British could decide the price because there was no competition

During this war the British had defeated the French for North America but the British government wanted the colonies to give money for the army. the war also meant that the Americans had gained fighting experience
