Chemistry
physical change: reactions that can be changed to its original matter. Examples: changes in size, shape, state, freezing and cutting
Chemical change: when substances combine to form a new substance examples: burning wood, souring milk digesting food, baking cookies.
Physical Property: Characteristics that doesn't have to do with chemical changes. examples of physical property: color, texture, melting point, conductivity, and desity.
Chemical Property: reactions that are observed when a chemical change occurs. Examples: toxicity, burning, rusting, cooking, and rotting.

use a model to explain
Atoms were rearranged during a chemical reaction to form new substances with new properties. explain that the atoms are all present in the products and thus the total number of atoms is conserved.

Mixture: A mixture is made up of a substance/ substances which are not chemically combined. Examples of mixtures: sand and water, salt and water, sugar and salt, and ethanol and water.
Compound: A compound is a chemical substance made of composed of a ton of identical molecules composed of atoms from more than one element held together by chemical bonds.
