Safe Working Practices - Coggle Diagram

- - - - general safety requirements
        
        all goods for domestic use must be reasonably safe
        
        any deemed unsafe may be removed from sale for 6n months during safety checks - if found faulty may be destroyed
      - price indications
        
        prohibits sellers giving misleading price indication, e.g. advertisements or price comparison.
        
        act enforced by trading standard officers who have power to seize goods & business records if have reasonable grounds suspecting misleading price indicators
      - Product liability
        
        if product is defective & causes injury manufacture will be held responsible
    - - provide info to help customers understand the risks
      - monitor the safety of products
      - take action if a safety problem is found
      - warn customers about potential risks

    - - Indicate exit routes in event of fire & location of saftey equipment

- - - - once identified, the risk assessor must decide how likely its that harm may occur & how to mitigate it
    - - a risk assessment document should be written to show that checks to identify risks were made, the people at risk identified & precautions put in place to reduce it
    - - includes workers & visiters
    - - should be reviewed regularly, review should identify if risk remains same or changes that have been implemented
    - - can be identified by walking round workplace & noting any potential hazards. referring to manufacture's instruction booklet & data sheets can also help - both immediate or long term
