When a bus is stopped at an intersection, don't drive faster than 10 mph
don't pass a moving or standing streetcar unless: your'e on a 1 way street, tracks so close to right that you can't pass; traffic officer directs you to left

Choosing/Changing lanes
-
Changing lanes: used to move lanes, exit/enter freeway; make sure to use signal, look over shoulders/at mirror, check in front/side/back of you
Large Vehicles
-
Manuevering: don't change lanes to enter/exit in front of a large truck; always pass a large vehicle on the left side; after passing it, drive ahead of it; don't tailgate a large truck; underestimate the size and speed of an approaching LV
-
Motorcycles
Allow four second following distance; whenever possible, give motorcycle whole lane(sharing lane is legal but not safe); never try to pass a motorcycle in the same lane; when possible, move to one side of your lane to give enough room to pass
-
Merging: enter at or near speed of traffic; space large enough for you and lane with enough space; use mirrors and signals; when safe to do so(DO NOT STOP); watch for cars around you before turning; leave 3 seconds of space between u and car in front of u;
Exiting: Be aware of next exit; signal and check cars; change lanes until u are in proper lane to exit; signal when intentioning to exit; exit at safe speed
Crossing or entering lanes: enter with enough space to enter(half block-streets; full block on highway)before turning, check other cars' intentions(don't rely just on signal)
How to pass: make sure there are 2 + lanes of same direction; never pass on left if driver is signaling left; on a one-way street
Parallel Parking: Find a open space to park; pull up along side vehicle in front of that your'e parking; check rearview mirror(look for oncoming traffic, foot on brake, car in reverse); turn wheel to 45 degree angle and begin backing up; begin turning wheel away from curb once 18 inches from it and straighten out; center vehicle
Law enforcement stop: turn on right signal; move comletely onto right shoulder; end cellphone conversation and turn off radio; remain inside vehicle unless said otherwise; place hands in clear view
RIghts during a law enforcement stop: right to say not to actions(but not to interfere); driver must show drivers licence; in CA, only LE officers can ask you about your immgiration status; 1st Amendment allows drivers to record interactions iwth officers inpublic space
