Productivity and Such

Eisenhower Matrix

Quadrants

  1. Important but not Urgent
  1. Urgent but not Important
  1. Not Urgent and Not Important

Aspects

Selectivity

Better be selective and strict onto what is put on the upper quadrants

Shouldn't be done and won't significantly contribute to your life

  1. Important and Urgent

Should be of upmost priority and should not be procrastinated under any circumstance, unless a change in quadrants occurs

Things that need to be completed, though in within a time-span of six hours and above, to the long term, and are things that will contribute significantly to your life

Things that should be prioritised, and is only a lower priority than the first quadrant. Shouldn't be procrastinated either as much as possible

Things that should be done but won't significantly contribute to your life

Should be postponed as much as possible, until it naturally moves onto a higher quadrant.

Should be removed without second thought, and only added back when it naturally moves onto a higher quadrant

Should delete things as much as possible and move things down when it doesn't fit the criteria of it's quadrant

Frequency

List should be revised once every day, ideally once every night

Amount of time spent should be around 20 minutes

Things that need to be completed in the next six hours or below, and are things that will contribute significantly to your life

"Improved" Pomodoro

Steps

  1. Set a "hard" time limit, if necessary, and divide your overall time into segments, each with a specific goal in mind
  1. Start Working
  1. Stop working when you feel like you're losing your edge
  1. Take a break for 1/3 of the working time
  1. Repeat / End

Hard limit: An absolute limit you need to follow, either because you need to do something else, or because of events out of your control

Usually indicated when you start having to recall the things you're doing / thinking about

If no more productive work is needed to be done after, just do whatever

If more productive works is to be done, then:

Meditate if you're truly tired

Do other chores if you feel somewhat energised

Think of the work in a higher level perspective if you still have energy to do so

Aspects

The amount of time you spend working for each session is likely to decrease the more sessions you've done in the day, this is fine
