Human Sea Defenses
Rip Barrier's at Sheringham consist of large rock's placed against the cliff to stop erosion by breaking the energy of the waves.
Sea wall Cromer is also there to break up the energy of the waves but more importantly it is there to stop the town flooding.
And at Hunstanton there are gabions which are wire boxes filled with rock and then stacked on top of each other. This is in place to stop water ruining the sand dunes.

Human Uses
Around the Holkham area salt marshes were drained for farmland this did inhibit the natural sea defenses.
