English Paper 1 and 2 - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Protagonist: George, doesn't want to go on the trip or is unsatisfied when he arrives, parents wish to get him out of the house (foretelling).
      - Secondary Characters: (Schoolmate or Sibling) Foil to protagonist, parents ask if they want to stay home.
      - Key ideas: Parents pack for protagonist, try to usher him out of the house.
      - Family Visit or School Visit ---> At a relevant establishment ---> Beach/Castle (potential for pathetic fallacy here) ---> Mischievous protagonist contrasted by orderly schoolmate/sibling ---> Protagonist is told to behave on the way to the establishment (foretelling) ---> The protagonist becomes spiteful/bored ---> Protagonist injures a staff member in some manner (wooden sword, frisbee to the head) ---> Consequences (positive: students laugh, negative: students are shocked).
- - - - Discrimination shown towards those with illnesses.
      - Anecdote: State that best friend has OCD, on many occasions he has been told to skip his rituals (causes great distress).
      - Statistics: ~1% of population has OCD (UK), 70% of population with disabilities have a hidden disability (UK).
      - For speech, ask for a show of hands on who is classed as "disabled", state that you don't have to answer. "I can imagine that's more than you thought".
      - Subtle humour in "free parking" but this depends on what piece is being written.

      - Movie: Back to the Future
        Director: Robert Zemeckis
        Cast: Michael J Fox, Christopher Lloyd
        Plot: Marty travels back in time with Doc Brown's time machine, he accidentally prevents his parents from parents from meeting so has to make them fall in love again or he won't be born.
        Opinion: One of my favourite films, a great attention to detail, lack of plotholes for such a complicated structure, cheesy (positive).
        Recommendation: Families, 80's nostalgia.
